Please add 20% to prices above for a 2nd subject and 30% for 3 subjects on the same portrait.

Prices do not include postage which will be charged at cost and will depend on your location.

Prices refer to the paper size.  Your portrait will be a good size within the paper size and will include space around the portrait to make it easier for mounting and framing.

The portrait will be mounted once finished (included in the price).  If you would like to consider having the portrait framed.  I would be happy to arrange this for you.  I use a local framing company and would be happy to discuss styles of frames that they can offer and the cost of the framing process.

Please note, if you are not based in the UK, I can ship all sizes unmounted to keep shipping costs as low as possible if you would prefer.

Your finished commission will be wrapped and shipped via a tracked, insured service.

A deposit of 50% is required to secure a booking (please note that this is not refundable once work on your commission has started). 

The balance is paid once the artwork is completed and you are happy.  

Your portrait will be created from your reference photographs.  Photographs should be as clear and as high resolution as possible so that I can see your pet's true colours and any distinguishing marks.  Eyes and noses are important elements of the photograph as they help show the character of your pet.  As such, eyes and noses should be clear and detailed where possible.  

If it is not possible to provide good clear photographs e.g. if the commission is a memorial portrait and the pet is no longer with you, I will try my best to work with poorer quality photographs.  Please note: less detail in the reference photographs will mean that there will be less detail in the final portrait.  I can offer advice if needed as to whether a photograph reference will be detailed enough during our initial discussions. 

Digital photographs are preferred but I can work with hard copies if digital copies are not available.   

Your chosen size will depend on the number of subjects you would like included in your portrait and the amount of detail required.  Please note that the larger the portrait the more detail can be included.  When we discuss your requirements, I will be able to offer advice as to which size might work best for your commission.  

During our initial discussion I will be able to offer a guide as to when your portrait will be started.  Please note that there is a waiting list for commissions which constantly changes.  This may mean that the timescale for completion may change between our initial discussions and your confirmation of your booking. 

Once you have confirmed that you would like to commission a portrait, a 50% Booking deposit will be taken to secure your place in my bookings list.   At this time, I will confirm when I expect to start your commission and an estimated completion date.  Once work has started on your commission the Booking deposit is non refundable if you cancel your portrait.  

The Booking deposit will be deducted from the final payment.  The final payment will become due upon completion of your portrait and you have confirmed that you are happy with the portrait.   Once the portrait is finished the final payment shall be due within 30 days. 

Once complete and the final payment is received your portrait will be carefully wrapped, packaged and a certificate of Authenticity will be included.

Your portrait will be shipped via a tracked service, either Royal Mail or a courier depending on the size of your portrait and your location.  Commission prices do not include shipping charges which are charged at cost and will include the insurance charged by the courier company.  Shipping charges will be added to the final payment.  During our initial discussions and once you have decided on the size of work, I will happily obtain a postage estimate for packaging and shipping to your chosen location if requested so that you will have some idea of postage costs prior to confirming your booking.  Please note that this can only be an estimate and may change at the time of shipping your artwork.

Please note that if shipping is outside of the UK, you may incur Taxes and Duty charges once the portrait reaches your Country.  These taxes are unfortunately outside of my control and will be your responsibility to pay. 

By supplying a photograph to be used for the portrait you are confirming that you either took the photograph yourself or have the permission of the person who took the photograph for it to be used for the basis of the portrait.  Ownership of the original artwork will pass to you once the final payment has been received. 

Whilst I will not create any prints of the original artwork for resale, I retain the copyright to the original artwork and reserve the right to use the image in my marketing e.g. my website and social media portfolio, or use it for educational purposes in my tutorials or workshops etc.
